Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones beanbard.com uses, and why. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners.

What cookies we use

We use essential cookies only. These are strictly necessary for the site to function and cannot be switched off.

Authentication session cookie

When you sign in to your Bean Bard account, Supabase sets a session cookie to keep you logged in across page loads. This cookie:

  • Is set only when you sign in
  • Contains an encrypted session token — no personal data in plain text
  • Expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity
  • Is required for the account area to work

What we do not use

  • Analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, or any other analytics service that tracks your behaviour across the site.
  • Advertising cookies — we do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, or any other advertising tracking.
  • Third-party cookies — no third-party scripts on this site set cookies on your device.

Do I need to consent?

Under UK law (UK GDPR and PECR), a cookie consent banner is only required for non-essential cookies. Because we use only essential cookies, no consent banner is needed and we do not display one.

How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that deleting the session cookie will sign you out of your account. Instructions for common browsers:

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy, add a consent mechanism, and notify you. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
